An ecotone is a transition area between two adjacent but different plant communities, such as forest and grassland. It may appear on the ground as a gradual blending of the two communities across a broad area, or it may manifest itself as a sharp boundary line.
I've just finished this piece which is made up of juxtapositions of seperately composed sound environments - it's as much about the transitions between the different sections, as much as it's about their actual sound content.

the first bit of music software I ever owned seemed amazing at the time... and it still is a great version I think....
Memories all mixed together... walking on the beach with a (what seemed weird at the time; didnt realise it was Bach) weird solo piano piece on my walkman.. then some weeks later running into the sea in Aberdeen and nearly getting pneumonia....just that sea sound it makes you immeadiately refer to other memories somehow

Watching her dance to the delicate music, wishing to jump into the box and be free forever with my beautiful princess.
